When it was first announced in 2017 my immediate thought was it was gonna be FFXV's version of FF Awakening for Type-0. I don't play mobile games either though I feel like this one might be getting a bit more budget compared to FF Awakening, and since it's getting a global release if it actually looks good I might check it out. Gameplay wise I always expected something like FF Awakening though so I'm not expecting much, which strictly core player combat input wise is also kinda similar to how FFXV pocket edition plays based on the gameplay footage I've seen.
I hope they don't use FF Awakening as a model. That one's release roadmap was a mess.

Oh yes, and due to changes in how its core operated, Oasis Games killed the English version last year.

I play more mobile games than I do console games now, many of them have approached console quality. I would even say it’s on the same level. With the freedom of the unreal engine this game could easily find success.

This is a picture from the Korean website.

I was hoping for anything like a Netease game or Madfinger, or even Pearl Abyss. They're pretty much console games put on mobile where you can do whatever you want. They built whole cities.

Plenty of space for them to swoop in and fix every last problem with the console version of FFXV. Like a remake. I'll be watching very closely.

I think that image is just a pre-release FFXV screenshot from 2016 photoshopped onto a mobile phone screen and with the logo on it.

I was looking at the JSC Games website and their site lists they also worked on FFXIV:ARR, DQXI, Deus Ex MD, Gunslinger Stratos, JC3 and Hitman 2.

http://jscgames.com/23

While the GAEA games site lists they've worked on games like Gwent, Thronebreaker, a Captain Tsubasa game, and a bunch of fairly generic looking mobile games.

And the XV screenshot image above is posted on the JSC Games site, so while obviously that isn't a screenshot of the XV mobile game, maybe it will have a similar camera view for gameplay to the actual XV? Rather than the top down-ish one in FF Awakening?

I was concerned about the characters when they showed the silhouettes, but now that the gang is all here, it looks identical to the art style of the PS4. This is promising, very promising. Think about the monetization strategy though, upgrades?

Knowing Asian mobile gaming, any monetization will likely be themed around additional upgrade/currency gems, EPX packs, cosmetics and suchlike. FF Awakening and Kingdom Hearts Union X have that kind of system. Nothing to stop you progressing through the story or strictly thrust in your face, but additional optional perks for those willing to pay.

Think of all the factors they can change. Maybe there is no prophecy, maybe there is and they told Noctis about it so he knows what's going on. Maybe Luna can kick butt! The origin of mythology.

If the story is changing then there's a possibility that we'll see the Dawn of The Future storylines play out in this new mobile game. Not the place I'd personally want to play through them, but it is something that crossed my mind.

That's really weird and funny to see all this.
But all this just shows Nomura is still mad about his own vision of versus xiii.
Therefore I hope yozora gets his own game not tied to the kh series, because I've never played kh, but looking at yozora which i really like i think i might pick up the kh3 at least.

Nomura 100% feels salty about Versus. Otherwise he wouldn't remake his own footage in KHIII. Was there anybody who thought he WASN'T a Noctis stand-in? Pretty obvious he used his ideas for Versus for this world. His next game is going to be a thinly veiled Versus remake. It would have been better if Yozora woke up and actually was Noctis, but alas.

Mad or he simply likes that kind of imagery.
Considering he's been using sleep, modern clothing, dark colours, near-exclusive focus on male characters and male camaraderie (to the detriment of everything else sometimes), and cryptic narrative in all the games he's had a strong influence on, then yes I'd say this was more like imagery.

Plus it's a playful nod to an old concept that didn't work out. And it gets more mileage out of an old clothing design that's entirely his.

Replica Xenahorts / replica Bahamuts from Dawn of the Future. Shot for damn shot Versus footage remade. Noct's eye colours, stance and attitude, not-Luna and the ethereal way he summons weapons... even not-Insomnia.

This is 100% Versus stuff being repurposed. It's not like Tabata used Nomura's version of the invasion, but this entire dream motif and Noctis copy-cat is quite obvious. It was obvious when Verum Rex was a thing and it's SUPER obvious now with a near total recreation of footage 10+ years old of a game that already came out.

I know Nomura likes to reuse things, but come ON. Does he have to call him Yozora Lucis Caelum for it to be obvious? Anyone denying it at this point is living a fantasy because this isn't just some throwaway gimmick, or the entire DLC wouldn't hinge on Versus Rex XIII and have the characters going "is this real or a dream".
