So, it's been announced. A Square Enix/Team Ninja collaboration, and it wasn't what I was expecting at least. Titled Strangers of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, it's got some familiar gameplay, and some deja vu-inducing aesthetics and tonal elements. Here's the trailer.

And in case you missed it, here's the creative core;

Director: Daisuke Inoue
Producer: Jin Fujiawara
Scenario; Kazushige Nojima
Concept, Creative Producer, Character Designs: Tetsuya Nomura

EDIT: More staff from Team Ninja

Producer: Fumihiko Yasuda
Directors: Nobumichi Kumabe, Hiroya Usuda

Will find out soon when they fix the demo but one thing I really hope from the game is it gets rid-off stamina management, that bullshit only limits combat, From Software's Sekiro became their best comabt system because of that, hope Team Ninja follows suit.

Issues are fixed. And I've been watching some footage, so basically...seems to play like a faster version of Nioh without stamina management. And it was cool hearing the remixed FF battle theme in there. Won't say any more.

I'm happy they deluvered that at least :)

Hope the demo comes to PS4 after the 24th.

People are speculating this could be a Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse/Loki type situation for the entire Final Fantasy franchise. Not sure how I feel about that to be honest.
