I'm in the middle of the tutorial, but wow, controls feel more intuitive than on a handheld controller, graphics are nice enough, and it almost makes me think that this game was originally built to be played on PC.
Are you using the keyboard to play?

I read that the demo comes with 4K textures which are turned on and off? How exactly does this work? I have a 1080ti and so I expect to run everything with no compromises, but I'll probably run the game at a lower resolution than 4K for better FPS. How exactly do the 4K textures turn on?

Have you tried first-person? How is it?
I can't seem to find the option to change to first-person. If anyone who has tried the demo can tell me, I'd appreciate it.

Yeah. Some of the stuff is kinda clunky like navigating the map, etc., but the controls for most of the game itself, like movement and battle, feel really good. The only thing I don't like is that using the mouse to navigate menus is a pain, so I revert to using arrow keys and the Enter key.

And lmao, just as I was praising the demo, the game crashed on me. My specs might not be good enough to run XV at 60 consistent FPS, or what. IDK.

From what I'm reading interact and jump are mapped to two different keys. That's pretty good.
Yeah, M1 is used to interact, and Spacebar is used to jump. What was it like on consoles?

In the console version (except the Japanese PS4 Version), both jump and interact are executed with X, often causing Noctis to jump instead of doing what you want him to do. A problem that would’ve been solved if they had also switched the attack button to X instead of leaving it to Circle

It looks gorgeous....*crying*

It took me some time to optimize, but I managed to get it running at 55FPS on Ultra (motion blur turned off), all Nvidia Tech turned on, running at near 4k (3584x2016). At this resolution there is no visible loss in quality and it actually smooths out the image a bit while giving higher FPS.

Also, check resolution scaling and make sure that it's at 100%. Mine was ''optimized'' to 200% and I got like 10 FPS in the Chapter 0... and Chapter 1 refused to load...
