How could they go about a Crisis Core HD remaster?

Like FFXII, Crisis Core is in need of a HD remaster. Problem is, Crisis Core can't stand on it's own on PS4 & Xbox One. And I don't think Dirge of Cerberus is the answer, especially since DoC is division 1 and CC is division 2.

It can stand alone as a download yes, but they won't print retail copies of it unless it's bundled with something. But I guess there isn't even enough demand for them to make a HD remaster that is download only.

I still don't see why it has to be bundled with something.

Is there a source explicitly stating that this is the reason Type-0 HD can get away with being a standalone title?
I actually got it from APZonerunner. Haha.

They could do digital only, but I don't know if they'd want to do that. Nomura said recently he wouldn't want to do KH3D on it's own.

Digital only sounds exactly like what they'd want to do with this. That's what they're doing with VII, makes sense to do it for this game too (though CC would obviously require a more Type-0-esque HD treatment).

With a retail version thrown in for Japan of course. (I believe they're getting retail VII on PS4, correct me if I'm wrong.)

FFVII is digital only. I can't see them releasing I-XII on their own via physical media anymore. And as for XIII, they'd throw in the sequels of course.
