I don't really have interest in the sequel-spinoffs except for X-2 because when it came out it was the only one. Can't justify the time commitment for the online games either. I have played through VII and IX sooooo many times.

While I can see not wanting the disc version, isn't the PSOne Classic essentially a digital port for modern sony systems? I don't understand what that means or what is wrong with the original, unless of course you have no playstation or vita.
That goes for other playstation-era games as well, not just FF. PSOne Classics are a godsend.
