Dawn of Mana team
The Last Remnant team
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (series) team
Final Fantasy XII team & Final Fantasy Tactics (series) team

I know a few are in division 1 & 5 now, but seriously, 3/4 of these were quite large, where the heck did they go?

You have to look at the people and not the "teams". It's absolutely normal that a group of people that has worked on a game won't work on the next game in that exact same deployment.

Also a common practice in the videogame industry is once a group of people "A" finishes working on a game X, the group "A" is replaced (aka ""fire"") and the company starts to reclute new people to fill the empty chairs of group "A" work on game Y. This usually applies for the lower rankings in the development staff (the ones who works for director Z) but hardly ever in the higher ranks (director, producer).

As I said in the other thread, there's 400 odd people working on FF15 not even counting contractors according to Tabata; teams are fluid and not rigid. Most of the grunts from FF12 ended up working on FF13, and the others were shuffled into FF14, mobile projects or Crystal Chronicles on Wii (who then later on still got re-shuffled into either FF14, portable or mobile efforts). The Divisions are lines that are formed/used when games are in development, but people really move around and the divisions in a practical sense more or less disband once their title is done, the people put on other things. The only people whose jobs are really 'absolute' are the big names like Kitase, Nomura, Ito etc.

Thank you for clearing this up.
