The Regis crying scene would first require a time machine, as that's the present day (well, slightly pre-KG) Regis model with the young Noctis. And the part where it zooms out on the KotR is obviously not meant to be literal, either. It's symbolic of the past kings looking down on those two and the weight of Noctis' responsibility.

The scenes it cuts to, though, those look like something that might have been pulled straight from the game.
To be honest, the model thing shouldn't really mean anything, as it could just have been a placeholder until they got the younger version, similar to what they did with the scene with the crew taking cover during the E3 trailer.

But I wouldn't be surprised if we don't get that scene with the younger Regis.

Also, could the Omen thing be a VR thing, similar to the car trip with Cidney? I really hope not, and it would be weird to tease it with a CG image.

And I'm so happy poor Tabata can finally play Civ VI.

They could show it as a flashback in the middle-slightly later part of the game tho.

Everything about the Regis crying scene screams symbolic to me. There's nothing anyone can possibly say to convince me otherwise. I highly doubt that part is in-game. Anyone who wishes to believe otherwise is free to, lol :p

Anyway, this quote from Red (posted by Koozek on GAF) is interesting to me:

@RedMakuzawa No way.....I heard a rumour about this "FFXV Omen" video around Gamescom. I guess it is legit now. :D

This almost kinda makes me want to believe it's a little bit more than just a trailer. Like the CGI short that my initial instincts jumped on.

Anyone got some sleeping pills that will knock me out until morning?

Zero chance. From what I've seen for comments about VR, it's not something they are all that super concerned about at the moment.

The teaser links directly to their youtube page. It's gotta be a video, and it's gotta be OG FFXV-related. Honestly, if it's not a trailer or a CGI short, I can't think of anything else that would make sense.

So people on Gaf are saying it could be the Leviathan Set piece.
People have been saying that at every event since Titan. I don't see it. There's no reason to show off the Leviathan fight. We get it. Big water dragon thingy. Save that for the game.

Not to mention, there's nothing in that image that even remotely hints to leviathan.

OMEN = NEMO backwards
Nemo is a fish
And so is Dory
Dory is blue
Stars can also be blue
Stella means star

STELLA IN FFXV CONFIRMED
You stopped too soon.

If you add up all the letters in STELLA IN FFXV CONFIRMED, you have the SAME number of letters as "Half Life 3 Confirmed yay"

So, aliens. Obviously.

Fits the whole "technology over everything" theme they seem to have, with a highly industrialized city to prove it.
Something's been niggling me about Niflheim's role in XV for some time now. In XII, XIII, and Type-0. we have empires who have embraced advanced technology that was originally the gift of higher beings, but want to break free from control by using that technology to subvert them. I'm wondering if Niflheim will follow the same pattern. They seem to have broken free of needing a crystal (as defined in XV's lore, a gift from the gods who made Eos), while Lucis remains dependent on it (to the detriment of its rulers). On the other hand, they may just want Lucis' crystal because theirs is exhausted, but I doubt that. And Ardyn of course... he seems to want the crystal for his own purposes.

Yeah, I'm really curious to know the reason of the war, among other things. As in, why are Nifs such a bunch of dickheads? Why are they doing this (if there's a reasoning beyond having a bigger and stronger empire)? And when did all of this start? I'm guessing as soon as their crystal ran out (if they had one; I recall some of the very early VS XIII synopsis saying as much.

Also, when did their tech focus become so big? It looks like Verstael is the guy in charge of that (and looks old enough for this whole Magitek army to have stuck around for a while), but I've always gotten Kuja vibes from Ardyn: the guy close to the Emperor/Queen that basically acts as the leader in the shadows and has his own agenda, as well as having similar positions as arms dealers: his official description says that he's the guy responsible for introducing magitek infantry to the ranks of the imperial army.

I know I'm probably in the minority, but I'm really interested in Iedolas. Also in King Morus, Regis' father. I want to see the past.
