The lack of an outright confirmation that the modding tools are cancelled is just infuriating. It's like they want us to forget they ever talked about them! Just put those that you teased out of their misery SE and let us know already.

The PC version of the game was marketed so heavily as being extensively moddable with official tools - all they've managed to deliver is a half-baked model swapper that doesn't even support the game's own assets and textures properly. Also, the Mod Organizer builds remotely, so it's just a matter of time until they pull that server and there goes the one small window into official FFXV modding that we ever got.

Had SE delivered on their promises for once, the modding scene could have blossomed into something wonderful, perhaps rivaling even Skyrim in terms of longevity and long-term sales and interest in the PC version - yet here we are, over a year with no information and further salt in our collective wound from the massacre of the other cancelled DLC.

In the files there's still an unreleased outfit set that's labeled as 'mod outfits' - I thought for sure it would be brought up during the ATR, but it wasn't - so one might imagine they would do some small thing about modding sometime soon, release the mod tool (+improvements) and these outfits, but after how things have gone it seems like that ship has sailed and those outfits were put in as a last-ditch effort to throw a bone to people poking around the files, or they're the remnants of something larger that fell through (surprise, surprise).

Just got home from class, about to play the DLC myself. How long are we doing spoiler tags for? Can we post out in the open now that the DLC is available everywhere?

I have beaten Episode Ardyn around 2 hours and 35 minutes in in-game time, with th emain story beaten with taking over all of the sectors and unlocking all of Ardyn's abilities. This was, by far, the best of the DLC for me, with the Royal Pack DLC now in second place with Episode Ardyn takign first place, and I enjoyed the story and Ardyn's character despite unfortunately getting spoiled a day ago, and throughly enjoyed it to my heart's content, and now I'm just exploring Insomnia by rooftops and streets now, and I'm enjoying doing that. The layout of the city looks similar to the way it looked in the vanilla version, but more detailed. I did suffer one crash, but other than that, it was stable. I'm looking forward to doing my replay of FFXV itself sometime in April, with this DLC, along with it's anime prologue, to be played as the main game's 'prologue' of sorts first, as my way of re-introducing myself to this game. Not everyone would do it this way, but I see it that way. But this is just my opinion and thoughts on this DLC overall, and I'm happy to have gotten it. I hope you guys have a good time with it just like I have. :)

One question:
so um, they suddenly just start calling him Ardyn Izunia at niflheim. Nowhere does it show how he got this name.
It's entirely possible he was given that name by Niflheim. He'd likely have told them his name was Ardyn Lucis Caelum, and it's very possible Verstael and the wider Niflheim wanted to keep the fact they had "Adagium" himself, so they gave him a different surname. Everyone's all but forgotten Ardyn's name by this point, and know him as Adagium. As to why he took it? He was in a pretty sorry state whey they found him. I'd guess he'd just go along with what they were doing since they weren't actively mistreating him.
