Where's that shot from?

I always wanted a boss fight against demon Ardyn or his rumored "monster" form
It's a render from steam I think, not in-game. But yeah a daemon Ardyn boss seemed like it was supposed to be a thing, it's not uncommon for FF and KH games to have second phases where you face off against a giant monster boss before going head to head as humans in the final phase, I don't think it would've ruined Ardyn's fight.

Quick question: Why was Episode Ardyn deemed non-canon? Is it because it introduces characters that have never been mentioned in FFXV lore in the past, or is it because of something else?

SQEX says Ep Ardyn is part of the XV narrative canon, and has a confirmed canon ending leading into the events of XV which mostly makes sense. I'm not sure people should let Reddit decide what parts are canon and which aren't. I mean...Including King's Knight and Justice Monsters V in any "canon" is silly. They're just spin-off titles.

Yeah, I'm not sure why Reddit considers it non-canon. The FFXV Reddit probably didn't see the interview confirming Episode Ardyn's canonical status.

Okay Thanks Etro. I was really confused about that originally. Thanks for clearing it up.

They looked on the website and noticed that it’s not marked as canon on there, never taking into account that they’re not updating the website anymore since when the director left they dropped everything.
Tabata has not being in charge of any of the post release content. What exactly him leaving has to do with a website pagr not being updated?

I'm not saying it's Tabata's fault the page wasn't updated. I'm just saying that I don't expect any updates from the website or in the game itself after Episode Ardyn dropped. Maybe Luminous Productions doesn't have anything to do with the website but whoever is updating the website hasn't touched it since.

I was always wondering where that Regis and Iedolas concept art came from, out of all those other artworks it's the only one not in any of the artbooks released and I hadn't seen it before, turns out it came from the Chinese Ceremony on 26th November 2016 where they announced the bundles and prices for the Chinese version, and also played some music on stage. I guess I missed it because I went offline around a week before the game released and didn't come back online until after I beat the game some time in December, so I never bothered checking Chinese press stuff for any new art or news I might've missed, and I never saw anyone post anything from the Chinese events either other than some things that happened around a month after launch.

It's kinda weird that the Chinese version is the one that had them remove the skulls and skeleton imagery in their version, but in all the promo media, bundles and clothes Tabata, Nozue and others are wearing on stage they had the Lucis skull crest symbol all over it.

There was also some info I found that was mentioned on stage there regarding Kingsglaive's budget too. I don't speak or read Chinese so I don't know how accurate a Google translate from Chinese can be, though likely low, but I think at least some meaning gets through.

Google Translate:
——The director of the wild end was also responsible for the movie “Final Fantasy 7: The Advent of the Son”. After so many years, is the cost of making the Sword of the King higher than the Advent of the Son?

Yoshino Nobuo: To say that the cost of production will change depending on the method of production and the depth of production. After "The Fall of the Son", we also learned a lot of ways and techniques to make movies and manage the progress of production. Compared to "The Son of the Son", although the quality of "The Sword of the King" is much higher, the production cost is not as much higher than you think.

Bing Translate:
The director has previously been in charge of the final fantasy 7: The Arrival of the Son, so after all these years, is the cost of making "The Sword of the King" higher than "The Son of the Sons"?

Noda Wuzhi: To say that the cost of production will be changed by the production of the method and the depth of production, from the "Arrival of the Son" after we also learned a lot of film production, management of the production progress of the way and skills. Although the quality of "The Sword of the King" is much higher than "The Son of the Holy Child", the cost of production is not as high as you think.
Obviously it translates the name incorrectly for Advent Children, Kingsglaive and Nozue, but based on those translations the question asked is about if Kingsglaive's cost was higher than Advent Children's, and the answer at least implies that they learned a lot more technical knowhow about movie management and production pipelines from Advent Children, and that Kingsglaive despite having higher production quality than Advent Children doesn't actually have a production cost as high as one might think (compared to Advent Children).

Though I can't find anything on my brief google searches for how much Advent Children cost.
