So i'm guessing YMMV with it for anyone?

I'll still give it a shot either way, flying high sky is absolutely temping me!

Good god, I was watching Angry Joe's stream and it was infuriating. The guy misses most of the cutscenes because he goes off to do other things halfway through and then has the gall to act confused after the cutscene blaming the game for not explaining the scenario STRAIGHT AFTER the cutscene.

And blames the game for not allowing him to stock up on items "for ages" when he passes up shops upon shops just moments ago.

He's also awful at the combat. Good job skipping the tutorial, Joe.

Looking forward to his review....

Okay it's functional at best imo.
Doesn't feel fun to me.
Sorry you're not Feelin' it, man. But that's not what i mean. Flying from one point to the next is a hell of a lot more fun than walking from place to place. I'm pretty sure I could fast travel faster, but once I got used to landing, I'm finding it fun. Legitimately, not like just making the best of it. It just clicked.

He's not even a FF fan and hates RPGs, he apparently never finished a single Souls game. I'm suprised he even gave a damn about XV in the first place.

He doesn't hate rpgs. He loves games like Fallout, Witcher, Dragon Age etc.

I noticed in most of his streams he doesn't give proper attention to heavy story driven scenes.

I guess he's just "all for the camera".

Kinda surprised he was in the first place since i never figured it be his type of game. His Game of the show since E3 even.

Wrote quite a lengthy piece on the feedback forum for the official website (hey I had time to kill lol)

Main points are:

  • put short chapters together into one so they can use this opportunity to create new chapters that go deep into the lore, history, characters, and creation/origin of the world.
  • create sidequests that show NPC's revealing what life is like living in a world that is torn apart by monsters, magic, and war. So actual meaningful sidequests.
  • Expand upon the last chapter and make it explorable with extra missions to create depth and show what happened.
  • The Lore of the World (most important one imo) concerning the astrals and more.
  • supporting cast need more scenes and background
  • main cast need Insomnia backflash scenes to show the depth of the relationship they all have even more.

Here's the link if you wanna read. I'll probably add more stuff in if I think of anything.

If you have any ideas I'd be more than happy to add it into the thread.

Honestly, probably like 2 posts from putting you on ignore with Ilazy, man. I get that you're disappointed, but half of those are CGI that is in the game at least in some form, or some conceptual video or something like the Dawn trailer stuff that you shouldn't have expected from the game.

From the top:

-The red sky with the thing flying, that's Niffleheim. That's chapter 13. It just doesn't have the red glow.
-The ships flying by and Cor asking if you want to know the truth, the end of chapter 1. Those are very early CGI. I get they make it look more mysterious and whatnot than it ended up being, but that's how trailers work.
-The Adamantoise is totally in the game. It's even bigger.
-The next two looked like they may well be something actually covered in-game. The Luna one could have been interesting backstory. and sucks it wasn't in there. The other one, there's no context there, I don't even know what it was supposed to be to know if we missed anything.
-The big cry was never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever going to actually BE in game. That was an abstract and always was.

I totally get that you were disappointed, but there's plenty to be disappointed in that was ACTUALLY cut without adding every hope and dream you had into the mix.
