The gameplay looks fantastic, and if part one covers the entirety of Midgar, surely Red XIII will be included.
It might be one location, but Midgar has a lot areas to explore. There will be areas where we'll be able to see the land outside of the city, surely. I can't wait to see how colourfully neon Wall Market is going to be, and I wonder if we'll get more detail as to how / why Aerith's house is surrounded by greenery when the rest of the region around Midgar is so dead. I hope the new game goes into detail about every little thing.

btw this is the synopsis on the official japanese site, translated

By realistically rebuilding the world of FINAL FANTASY VII,
it will be reborn as a new story:

FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE

The life energy pumped out of the planet, mako.

Midgar, a hierarchical city boasting eight mako reactors.
The Shinra Company, a megacorporation that conquered the world using mako,
is clashing with Avalanche, an anti-Shinra organization stepping up to defend the planet.

Cloud, an ex-SOLDIER turned mercenary,
has just joined Avalanche on their first bombing mission.

As the exploding mako reactor echoes through Sector 8,
in a city set ablaze, the apparition of an adversary he believed slain shimmers before him.

Led by the phantom of the past he wishes he could forget, he meets her.

The girl, a florist, offers him a yellow blossom.
In the language of flowers, that color means—Reunion.
Suddenly, the pair is surrounded by black shadows—Guardians of Fate.

Now, his thoughts are free to roam the planet once more.

would be cool if you could freely ride your bike or take the metro between sectors.
That's what I'm hoping they'll do with the bike. Make it so we can ride it through the tunnels or on the highways in order to travel between the sectors. They could easily have Shinra bike patrols posted at certain spots to give you the incentive of using both the tunnels and the highways to outmaneuver them while keeping the ride itself spicy with combat and high speed chases.

If there's one thing I think I'd like see all future FF games take away from FFXV it's definitely the party banter and in-battle dialogue. I hope to see quite a bit of Barret butting heads with Cloud, Aerith teasing him, and Tifa engaging in some friendly banter with him during fights and while just walking around.

So according to various impressions, you can hold Square to attack in FF7R the same way you hold O to attack in XV, if you tap in 7R you get slightly different attacks which is similar to how in XV when you tap can get manual finishers, and different ones depending on distance from enemy or on the different attacks on directional inputs.

Hard Lock on is on R3 click similar to XV too and there is a soft lock by default, Max confirmed you cannot jump. You can rapidly fill up the ATB with Barret much faster than with Cloud because his attacks hit enemies at a faster rate, Cloud can switch between a strong attack combo and lighter regular attack combo by toggling Triangle for Punisher Mode/Operator Mode, using the stronger attacks are slower but deal more, there is also an auto attack that happens if you are hit, basically an auto counter, while if hit in the other toggle you will get sent knocked back instead of auto attack countering.

Lmao damn, can't wait for people to exclusively use the "hold square" method while ignoring every other facet of combat and then bitch about it rather than just tapping the button which is also an option like it was in XV. It's like purposefully using your bicycle with training wheels and then bitching about them even though you chose to use them in the first place and have the option to remove them.
