First off, i'm didn't post this someone on 4chan leak it before Episode Gladio come out, even minor details about PD are wrong but everything else seems to be true so far, interesting huh? so and gonna dump the notes for the leak here and let You guy have fun to analyze it, still don't bite my head off if this not happen it's rumor after all.

There are multiple features that will be added for free the day the season pass episodes becomes available, and those are huge.There is a secret DLC but it may take a while, I don't know much about this one, I just know that it may add Insomnia before the events of the game, but this would be a different DLC so they are thinking about releasing second Season Pass (2018) or just releasing this DLC alone and priced apart from the main Season Pass. If they decide to go for the second Season Pass then that's gonna give us another year of working in XV (almost till August/September 2018). If they decide to only release the Insomnia DLC alone then that will take us until April 2018.

Schedule:

Update 1.06: Chapter 13 adds Gladio as a playable character to this chapter, [you go with Ignis the whole time and he needs to be protected. Some new cutscenes are added with Ravus and Iedolas Aldercapt.]

1.06 became 1.07 with 1.06 never releasing because they found bugs, everything else was correct

DLC Free Booster Pack: Adds the magitek suit for the 4 buds. Coming next week, seems like there are negotiations for making some cross publicity with the power rangers in order to promote the movie. If not then they will put the Magitek Suit 1 month after the release of that movie with the new design.

Also correct, the power ranged cross promotion didn't work out and they delayed it for next month

DLC Episode Gladio: Adds a full 2-3h Gladiolus experience (time depends on the player) with a new dungeon along with Cor Leonis to make Gladio stronger, [by the end you encounter Gilgamesh. There will be some backstory about Clarus, Regis, Cor, Iris and Gladio. This dungeon won't be accesible unless you have the Gladiolus Episode. More dialog than cutscenes and a lot of challenging enemy battles.]

Update 1.07: Some point in May, this one will add a bestiary feature, in order to complete this journal you need to take pics with promptos' ability Snapshot and the enemy needs to use every single move (even special ones) in order to complete each profile, if the enemy didn't use a move against you it won't appear in the list, the overall bestiary has a % of completion and the team is working on expansion trophies/achievements (for bestiary, fishing, recipes and completion of the side quests)

Update 1.08: This one comes in June, will add the ability of going out of the tracks with the regalia using an update with a new mission from Cindy. [This mission feature Prompto alone. Also adds Prompto playable to chapter 13 by the moment Noctis is with the crystal. This sequence will be alternated between Noctis gameplay and Prompto gameplay.]

DLC Episode Prompto: Adds full 5h narrative experience [with long distance persecution in the snow with a motorcycle while one of Ardyns peasants, The Worm, will chase Prompto, you can shoot from the motorcycle and use special hits with mechanic guns. It begins in a little village in a snowy area, this is where Prompto was born. You'll get to know his terrible story and how his father became the right hand of Iedolas and Ardyn. This one is already in full production, once in Niflheim you fight against Versatel and reveal an important connection between Prompto and Regis, also why he is in the kingdom of Noctis as a child (this feature way more cutscenes than episode Gladiolus). Also expect a confrontation between Iedolas and Ardyn. Prompto’s brothers will be unveiled.]

Update 1.09: Coming in July, this update adds a new dungeon with all of the monsters from the game with higher level, this dungeon works as an elevator, each floor is harder than the last one. Update 1.10: Coming in September, this update adds 2 new playable sequences with Noctis as a child, one is dream state and the other is with Regis. The dream one will give you Carbuncle in case you missed it from the Platinum Demo. [The Regis sequence was already planed but never included, it's a deep conversation between him and another entity about the future of the young prince, Noctis hears all about it by mistake and writes to Luna about that.]

Update 1.11: Coming in October, adds Halloween themed city but there is not much info about this one. This may no happen since they are more focused on the Episode Ignis. [Regardless, this one will add Bahamut summon on "New Game +" (not a word on Ifrit summon but seems like it won't because of the story) and a new Summon System so you can choose the astral you want if certain conditions are fulfilled. This one also adds Ignis playable after Noctis enters the Crystal in chapter 13, there is a little gameplay escaping from Niflheim, vision will be limited to light strikes and running. It will feature more voice acting than controlable sequences and QTE. More scenes will be added. Also the ability to change the controlable character will be added for the entire game (except the 5th party member).]

DLC Episode Ignis: Coming October, this one adds [an entire strategic battle against the empire in the Leviathan chapter, it's like a board game where Ignis chooses how to attack with some long shaped explosives, as he allied with Altissia soldiers. After the mini game, Ignis, Gladio and Prompto will pass through a lot of waves of soldiers while the structures are moving. After that you get to a battle against Ravus and Caligo. By the end expect Ultros to appear. After the battle they see Titan summon and go save Noctis and Luna. Luna speaks to the boys while Noctis is asleep. Ignis takes the ring from Luna and wears it, the Lucii makes a deal with Ignis making him blind but he can only save one, Luna or Noctis, he saves Noctis.]

[*Ultros was meant to be added on the journey with Cid from Cape Caem to Altissia, but due to time this must not happen, since the battle will be too hard to develop in a tiny boat and without swimming mechanics for the party.]

Update 1.12: Coming in December, this update adds the feature to customize characters, you'll be part of the kingsglaive soldiers and you can go with Noctis on the entire game as a 5th party member except at some points. Also a new magic will be added (like the ring one)

Update 1.13/DLC Expansion: Coming in January/2018: Adds multiplayer function and online server, makes the continent of Niflheim playable as a parallel story with Kingsglaives (the ones you can customize). [This journey happens in one of the old model cars. Also expect a lot of outfits by this update applicable to Noctis and friends. There will be plenty of quests and hunts here, but not as deep with cinematics (more like FF14 quests). The playable parts of the map are quite vast and also you can use Chocobos. The main mission (this one will feature cutscenes) is to get in Tenebrae and help them from the invasion, but before that you can explore and make missions with your friends. Also, Ravus will join as a 5th party member during some points. More info about Shiva will be addressed. The final boss will be huge. Locations are: Sandy desert area, chocobo forest, snowy vast area and Tenebrae.]

Update 1.14: Coming in February 2018, [Lestallum will be added to chapter 14 in a apocalyptic setup and will feature older versions of Iris, Cor, Monica, Aranea, Cid and Cindy. Also will feature a new weather added to the multiplayer system: dark world, with green/purple and black sky and a new dungeon you can go after crossing the entrance to the city, it's near a very long bridge, this weather will also be applied for the Niflheim region.]

Update 1.15: Finishes the update in March 2018, [after you leave Hammerhead in chapter 14 you go to Insomnia by foot, this update makes available Lestallum part also. Once in Insomnia there will be a new menu to use chapter select and repeat some train parts at any moment. This menu is only usable at campsites. This one adds high level monsters to the continent, and they will try to make more hunts and sidequest for this part. At this point you'll decide if you want Aranea, Iris Gentiana, Cindy or Cor to go with you.]

There are also hints of an Episode Ardyn and Episode Luna sold separately, this would extend development and continued service of the game for an entire year.

2 unannounced DLC episodes will be sold separately and priced at 12 USD due to their length.

Episode Luna: Noctis and Luna sneak off to together during their stay in Altissia prior to the summoning. Features interchangable gameplay with Noct and Luna as well as many cutscenes revealing Luna's past. Luna plays a supportive role buffing Noctis, healing and debuffing enemies Fight as Luna using a rapier capable of delivering swift attacks which can stagger and break enemy appendages. For free the ability to swim, gradually drains stamina. Optional sidequest; Terror in the caves of Tennebrae and the Hard difficulty. On Hard enemies have the ability to buff each other and call for backup. Hard mode will also limit your use of items in battle, introducing battle items a small collection of items you can use while out in the field, you restock when you rest. The Arcana ascension grid will be added giving you the ability to buff up your spells and unlock new ones.

Episode Ardyn: As Ardyn hunt down the strongest Daemons and take their powers for yourself. Fight human soldiers and hunters getting in your way and transform the world into the hellish landscape of chapter 14 of Final Fantasy XV. Also discover his traumatic past and the truth behind the stories in the Cosmogony. For free, adding the world of ruin questline. Rally to reunite your old friends for the final battle ahead. Many Daemons will be added, there are discussions of bringing in the WEAPONs from FFVII. King of Light difficulty mode. More HP and damage output to enemies in addition to an adaptive AI that learns from your way of playing and counters it. Longer battles will become much more difficult. Beating Ardyn in King of Light mode will cause him to transform into his much stronger final form where the chocobros rejoin the team along with the 13 Lucian kings to battle Astral Chaos Ardyn in a fight that will make the very ground of Lucis tremble. King of Light armor costume and Herald of Light for bros.

The final paragraph though, I mean it sounds like the rumour is saying the final battle is going to be redone with some pretty drastic changes, especially if the guys are gonna rejoining the fray with a new form of Ardyn.

That would involve "deleting" the scenario as it is now. Not sure about that but we shall see.

OP, this rumored information is not only extremely outdated at this point, but also proven false, given that the majority of what was detailed to be added in the first half of each updates alone (such as a playable Prompto segment in chapter 13 + child Noctis event) never happened in any of the official patch releases.

The source is just bullshitting many people and it shows. Its best left ignored.

That would involve "deleting" the scenario as it is now. Not sure about that but we shall see.
Imo Ardyn getting any enhancements will be through the means of new information (which we know we'll get through Episode Ignis to some extent) vs. redoing a battle as a possible. FFXV certainly isn't done at this point with updates, and that is the only thing I know or care about for sure.

OP, this rumored information is not only extremely outdated at this point, but also proven false, given that the majority of what was detailed to be added in the first half of each updates alone (such as a playable Prompto segment in chapter 13 + child Noctis event) never happened in any of the official patch releases.
Things like these are minor details that are subject to change in the final release. Sort of like no more than a month ago there was a translucent green iron giant variant in the Episode Gladio promo material, yet the giant is no where to be seen in the actual game.

There also some more info about parallel story expansion i got from reddit, i don't know where he got the source but combine with leak from 4chan it's make perfect sense.



Parallel story DLC Expansion are actually a timed quest called"The World Eater" Your target enemy is "Atomos" a HUGE floating maw-like ceature with storm circling it, and it's mouth being type of black hole in very center of Vesperpool, Chocobo and Regalia cannot fly to it You have to approach by foot to activate the cutscene. The blood moon appears once again finally over the ceature head as the environment transitions as you approach it, is not Killable or even fightable enemy it's a bridge that transport you to the Expansion through it's Chaos Maw, Actor have already record new line regardless of what is said.

Introducing:The World of Versus Expansion with the wolrd being"engulfed" using Astral Atomos as gateway, eating past present and future into the desolate Versus Alternate Reality You will Play as your kingsgllaive avatar, Characters and everyone else's starting base will be set as Lestallum, with light of the Astral Shard being one of the only safe zone keeping high leval mobs at bay. Time phasing is apperently being used to jump through major events of 10 year sequence using Umbra as a guide, with Noctis arriving not at the beginning but near the end game, before the game switches back to end-game event of the original, non-expansion game.

New areas, dungeons, quests, items, Playable Characters, musics, new Astral, tons of new weapon, a story elements that make the original story cohesive, and even a few new mountable animal and vehicles. Flying vehicles not allowed, as they completely controlled by the Empie. Ring of Lucii is not usable until Noctis is Playable Within last hours. All of this straight out of the latest build. You also learn what what the black goo is that is literally the force that impurified Ardyn, Which is Chaos itself. There will be final battle with an unrevealed character before return to base reality, and some item picked up in the expansion will not work in base reality for plot breaking reason.

Things like these are minor details that are subject to change in the final release.
I don't see how the content i mentioned count as minor details, especially when the stuff like Episode Prompto don't even entirely align with the rumor (the narrative itself lasts nowhere near the length of 5 hours).

This is the type of answer the would used for damage controlling, no offense.

All this Versus fanwank melodrama and here i am (and others included) having a blast with actual newer game releases like P5 & NierA. No interest in taking the boring route clinging over relics 24/7.

I will say that we should just take everything with a grain of massive salt until Gamescom. This is a very old leak, and unfortunatetly, not much of it has happened at all (yet, whatever)

The things it did get right though were the regalia being able to leave the roads (I don't think we knew this would happen yet) as well as bits of gladio's and prompto's story. However, we have not gotten a story expansion during Ch. 13 for prompto like this rumor said, nor everything for episode prompto, an actual bestiary, and that high level dungeon so far that this rumor claims would have been released already.

Now my point is, is just to wait for Gamescom. The good news about this rumor is that it actually lines up interestingly well with the June Poll, which both had potential votes for an Ardyn and/or Luna episode. Stuff about improved armiger and Stat changing magic sound similar to you getting new ability trees when Luna's episode releases. The last few updates on that rumor all sound like the rest of the story expansions on that June poll. Cor's story expansion looks like it may be addressed during the multiplayer stuff. The multiplayer 'could' be expanded to niflheim potentially, which would be fantastic.

I'm not sure aboit the insomnia or world of versus expansions but that would be some crazy additions if actually done. That being said, a lot of this has changed and will continue to do so.

Honestly, they HAVE to reveal or at least tease most of their plans with Gamescom. If there's anything beyond Episode Ignis and the Comrades DLC, nows the time to at least explain it.

Edit: another thing this leak at least addresses is making Iris, Gentiana, Cor, Aranea, etc. Playable during the world of ruin. These are all literally on the poll as options. Not trying to verify this but this leak is from February if I remember, this could all be from just a concept meeting. Things will heavily change as its made over time.

Echoing @Paperchampion23 -- if I'm being super-charitable, like Salvation Army-level, some of this could have been whisper-down-the-lane-twice-removed from an internal roadmap meeting.

(But who are we kidding)

FWIW, I've heard that FFXV's presence at Gamescom will be "substantial" - no idea what that means.

Yea, the only thing we have is that the marketing manager and Tabata both have confirmed big things are coming. They apparently purposefully avoided saying anything at E3 to make this an even bigger announcement.

“We held back a bit of information during E3,” Square Enix marketing manager Akio Ofuji said during the broadcast. “We are preparing with high praise to do all sorts of things on a large scale this summer.” (Editor’s Note: “With high praise” is a joke—it’s sort of a Japanese slang trend at the moment.)

Director Hajime Tabata added, “That’s right. We’ve been extremely busy. We have to be sure to have some good announcements in the summer.”

Tabata then confirmed that information would come at Gamescome in August, with Tabata saying, “I want to put out some good news during Gamescom.”

Same, I'm hoping for a lot but wanna make sure to be modest about what we are going to get. No Man's Sky levels of improvements would be fantastic. And would be the second game to do something this unheard of. That being said, my wishlist:

1. Overall additions to the mains story: There are 3 unused bases in FFXV, open them to have different encounters with Loqi, flesh out his character and make each bossfight harder than the last. Add that Ravus bossfight teased in Chapter 5. Perhaps refine quests, allow you to take out as many hunts as you want at a time (which would save literally hours of time). Add more Niflheim/Villain based cutscenes during the Lucis part of the story, add more cutscenes in general. Perhaps adapt the entire Brotherhood anime in some form. Young Noctis is already possible with the Platinum demo, play as him in the flashback scenes and be able to explore parts of Insomnia.

2. Luna and Ardyn Episodes. Similar to the way the rumor has them. Luna opens up Altissia more (unless Ignis already does so) and Ardyn's takes place during the games story while he reflects on his motivations for doing everything. Refine his final boss fight (give him one or two extra phases).

3. Nyx Episode: Kingsglaive. One of the biggest crimes the game is guilty of is making the Kingsglaive story a movie. With the Comrades DLC coming, you can totally see how his combat would feel like. Follow the story through parts of Galahd and Insomnia (by then, potentially these area's will be a little more open) and fight Glauca. MAKE IT HAPPEN SQUARE!!!! Perhaps add more to flesh out him and Glauca to begin with. Maybe Glauca can be rewritten to survive. The man killed Noctis's father, there should have been a main game boss fight against him.

4. World of Ruin: Because obviously

5. Niflheim: Either through the multiplayer or not, but we need more fantastical world to explore. We need more lore. Niflheim has most of it (Tenebrae, Gralea, Shiva's statue, and SO MUCH MORE). Expand Altissia as well. I always thought you'd summon Leviathan the same way as Ramuh, having to go around and find those stones. I thought it would have been cool to go around the smaller islands and actually do this.

6. Make summon's easier to summon and less powerful. 1 shots aren't fun. So is never being able to summon most of them, except Ramuh. Make the conditions easier (ex: separate MP bar, allow us to just select it). Ifrit and Bahamut should become playable in Chapter 15.

7. Expand on the ending: Ardyn should have another bossfight while they are in that realm. Honestly thought he was being controlled by something too, so maybe they expand that to involve Chaos.

8. Separate story showing the downfall of Solheim/Ifrits betrayal. Unless its just cutscenes.

9. Honestly just more in general. Sadly for such a big game, it just needs to be bigger. I'm hoping they have better ideas than any of this and do some cool stuff, but we'll see.

Lets be fair, the team have stressed that the in-game Insomnia invasion would have required more time & resource than what they were given, which was ultimately what lead to Kingsglaive being a movie format. I don't doubt that they would have wanted to implement it as initially envisioned, but regardless of the negative consequences, its reality.

While a Kingsglaive DLC would be nice, i'm still holding my breath until further notice.

That said, I do hope the best for Tabata and his team and wish that Gamescom goes well for them. They truly deserve to have their efforts celebrated and acknowledged. They made the impossible possible by all accounts.
