Lmao damn, can't wait for people to exclusively use the "hold square" method while ignoring every other facet of combat and then bitch about it rather than just tapping the button which is also an option like it was in XV. It's like purposefully using your bicycle with training wheels and then bitching about them even though you chose to use them in the first place and have the option to remove them.
I remember people bitching about the auto-battle option in FFXIII even though it was completely optional and not necessary to use in the game at all. Just take this as a reminder that not all FF design choice complaints are created equal.

I wonder if they can still keep the censorship to the same level in the original game (i.e. non-existent). Would it still be OK for SE to describe Avalnche as "eco-terrorist?" There are so many aspects of the game I'm curious to see how SE will deal with.

Eco-terrorists were actually more relevant in the 90s than now, and Nomura made a pretty clear visual parallel to 9/11 footage in Advent Children Complete with the plate destruction news footage, so... probably no issue in that regard.

FFXV made it pretty clear that the level of salty language used in FFVII (silly @$!#-type stuff aside) was viable, so that shouldn't be an issue either.

My biggest concern for censorship is actually the Shinra Tower blood trail sequence, to be honest. XD;

I think T rating allows for blood but not excessive amounts of gore. Like you can show a person bleeding and getting banged up but you can't really show them getting dismembered in graphic detail or have organs strewn about. So at most expect some blood smeared on the walls and guard bodies laying around with some blood on them but don't really hold your breath expecting them to try and one up that particular sequence. Still though if they play their cards right they could still end up with an extremely eerie sequence that matches the original's tone. Setting the atmosphere has more to do with the music and lighting anyway imo. Walking through darkened and ominously lit hallways with one of FFVII's many creepy soundtracks playing in the background would do the trick.

Final Fantasy VII Remake director Tetsuya Nomura confirms Honey Bee Inn cross-dressing event, new events, dialogue options, and enemies

  • The watchmen of fate (the black mist in the trailer) are mysterious beings that appear before the party wherever they go. I hope that even those who have played the original game will enjoy the new elements.
  • There are quite a bit of dialogue options. We are making it so the dialogue changes depending on your response, so the sheer volume of dialogue has increased.
  • The Honey Bee Inn cross-dressing event is still in. We’ve made it more modern. If we made the facility like we did in the original game, the physical unease would be staggering, so that was no good…
  • There are quite a few additions to the scenario. While the main story itself hasn’t changed, there are a countless number of new events. Otherwise we wouldn’t have two Blu-ray discs. (Laughs.)
  • Aerith and Tifa are double heroines. One has a western-style look and the other an eastern-style look.
  • We wanted Tifa to have abs, so she has an athletic body type. The ethics department at Square Enix also told us that we had to tighten her chest as not to get unnatural during all the intense action. From there we got the black underwear and fitted tank top.
  • With an emphasis on immersion and exhilaration, you can fight without stress through the use of shortcuts. When you open the command menu, time slows and you can fight like a command battle.
  • Each playable character has different enemy affinities.
  • An item is required for MP recovery.
  • For the sake of level design, we’re preparing a few new enemies where necessary.

Probably gonna see leaks closer to the game's release. Only reason KH3 got leaked was cuz of people stealing early copies. So unless a disgruntled employee decides to leak it on 4Chan or something or Square is foolish enough to have the games in warehouses months before release again I don't think we'll be seeing leaks for a good long while. Especially since I think they're aiming for a same day release worldwide this time though idk if that's official info as I saw it amongst a bunch of tweets like these.

Was it? I do remember a fake leak that the guy afterwards said he made it up. I don't remember anything else though, since it's all kind of blended together in my head.
