I would recommend them. If you want a new take on horror the first Parasite Eve would be best as it's an action/RPG hybird, with beautiful music and lovely visuals.
Want a more traditional horror, in-line to earlier Resident Evil titles then start with Parasite Eve II.
If high paced action, third person shooter is what you seek then The 3rd Birthday would be your starting point.

FYI: This thread is about Toriyama in general. Not just Final Fantasy stuff he has worked on, even though this is in the Final Fantasy Discussion section.
The strength of that rumor doesn't really warrant a thread. So for now, Toriyama rumors should go here. Once something becomes official, feel free to make a new thread. If it's something Final Fantasy VII remake related, post it in the general thread we have going on.

I'm not going to dismiss other evidence, but quoting /v/ for anything is meaningless. I could have easily made that thread myself. Putting Aya Brea in the VII Remake trailer or Verendus saying something is evidence, but some guy on /v/ is not. Even the image itself of Toriyama was titled "imagine if you were in the audience" essentially mocking him.
Trust me, it's a non-story. Not trying to disprove anything, just saying that this specific piece of information is a bust.

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but Nomura has already confirmed that Aya Brea being in the trailer means nothing. Visual Works just put it in there as an Easter egg.

As for Verendus, I'm still not convinced he's reliable. He's been more wrong than right in the past. He seems to have amassed a dedicated cult following, though. But then most people on NeoGAF are desperate for new information, so will easily fall for the charms of an alleged insider.

The thing is, some people used that teaser in the FFVII Remake trailer as indication of a new Parasite Eve. Nomura has now said that Visual Works just threw it in there for the fun of it. I think if there was more to it, he'd say, "No comment." Or even, "I can't speak about it right now." Heck, maybe even his famous PR line, "Please look forward to it."

I still believe that people are putting him on a pedestal. His track record is 40% accurate at best. People on NeoGAF must simply be desperate if they see that as noteworthy. I'll never fall for the charms of any alleged insider. I'd much rather amass my own sourced evidence and wait for the company in question to make an official announcement. That's how I'm rolling with FFXVI, anyway. It's feels more rewarding for me to do the research myself than simply take the words of a supposed insider as gospel.

I've never believed anything that guy has said. Personally, I don't like NeoGAF, it seems like a group of people who pretend to be important for having insider information and teasing it around like some PR marketer or something.

He's also been banned before and been proven wrong. Where's that HD Dragon Quest collection? I also find it hard to believe there's really a FFVI remake, FFVII spin-off, FFX spin-off and Parasite Eve all in development in addition to everything announced plus XVI and Front Mission. Not to mention, Nomura's recent comments included remaking both V & VI and even then didn't sound like they were something that would be occurring any time soon. Sounds like to me he lists everything people on NeoGAF want. He gets some things right, yes but he is also wrong half the time.

But not permanently banned. What people don’t seem to understand about rumors is that things change. What maybe the case one day may not be the next. That’s the risk for talking about things too early. That’s why you always take rumors with a grain of salt.
I don’t remember the DQ HD collection rumor but he has talked about DQ coming back to PS4 along with a few other spin-off titles. Spot on so far.
He’s not saying FFVI remake and FFX spin-off are in development. He’s not saying they aren’t either. There are two games on his list that he can’t vouch for and those just happen to be part of that list. One game involves Nintendo, the other involves Sony. He said they're not even green lit from his understanding and are trying to get something to happen.
